The garden is lovely. We liked the amenities, such as a work desk and a multi-channel TV. Near to the downtown, 5 minutes on foot.

The breakfast is freshly prepared and the staff is helpful! We got king room and loved it. Nothing beats being in Chequers.

Food was delicious and beds were great. Coffee and tea making equipment, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a private entrance inside the standard queen room were handy. The place is 1 km away from Smarden downtown. We loved our stay here.
Noisy street, but can't fault the hotel. Our bed was uncomfortable.

We enjoyed the fact that we chose Chequers Inn. Modern furnishings. Placed within 20 minutes' car ride to Rye. No complaints whatsoever, the hotel met expectations.
